Real Dreams Unfolding: Southern Coastal Landscapes
Photographs taken along the gulf coast uncover emotions mirrored in the landscape. My fascination with the duality of nature and structure began this series, while a back story developed from fleeing hurricanes over the years. Odd trees, historic military fortifications, obsolete structures overtaken by nature, piers, people fishing, boats, bridges and storm clouds became familiar sights to a photographer used to living on a Louisiana lake and fleeing to Florida to dodge hurricanes.

Capturing these off-kilter moments came to remind me of the first exodus when our house was lost to Hurricane Katrina. It felt like real dreams unfolding.
